Doshi Levien
Founded in London in 2000 by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, Doshi Levien is celebrated for bridging vibrant cultural narrative with precise industrial technology. Meeting at the Royal College of Art, the duo unites complementary strengths: Doshi’s deep connection to Indian visual culture, textiles, and color theory harmonizes with Levien’s background in cabinetmaking and industrial precision. Their cross-cultural portfolio spans leading international design houses including Moroso, HAY, Kvadrat, and B&B Italia. For HAY, they conceived the modular Quilton sofa system, described as a "quilted landscape" of generous comfort, alongside the compact Uchiwa lounge chair inspired by traditional Japanese hand fans. For Moroso, creations like the My Beautiful Backside seating series and Paper Planes chair explore layered graphic shapes and tactile embroidery.
