Formed in Oslo in 2009 by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, Anderssen & Voll has served as a driving catalyst in modernizing Norwegian and broader Scandinavian design. Having previously co-founded the boundary-breaking Norway Says collective, the duo established their eponymous studio to explore furniture, lighting, and textiles infused with personality, warmth, and enduring craft. Rather than adhering to rigid, clinical minimalism, Anderssen & Voll introduce gentle, humanizing contours and inviting proportions. Their creative output defines signature collections across Scandinavia’s premier houses—from the softly pillowed Oslo and Connect sofa series for Muuto, to the gracefully curving In Situ modular seating and the evocative Ville and Pavilion chairs for &Tradition. By pairing traditional upholstery techniques with clean architectural restraint, Anderssen & Voll shape pieces that evoke an instant sense of welcome—functional modernism imbued with genuine spirit.
