Ana Kraš
Serbian-born, New York-based designer, photographer, and artist Ana Kraš is celebrated for an intuitive, hands-on practice that bridges fine art, craft, and industrial design. Educated in furniture design and interior architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Kraš approaches objects with a focus on tactile materiality, organic imperfections, and delicate color theory. Kraš achieved international acclaim with her career-defining Bonbon lamps. Originally developed as one-off art pieces hand-wrapped with remnant yarns around powder-coated steel wire skeletons, the design was engineered for mass production in collaboration with Danish design house HAY. The collection preserves the artisanal integrity of her hand-weaving technique, producing vibrant, textured lanterns that double as expressive geometric sculptures. She has also conceived tactile textile collections and artistic objects for brands such as Matter Made and Kvadrat.
