Description

The Flowerpot VP1 Chandelier by &Tradition, derived from the iconic 1968 mid-century masterpiece by visionary designer Verner Panton, is an expressive, sculptural indoor multi-pendant lighting installation that captures the optimistic spirit of the Flower Power movement. This grand-scale configuration leverages Panton's signature fondness for repetition and nested circles, grouping multiple individual VP1 pendants into staggered levels to mimic the lush visual geometry of a bouquet of flowers. Each individual pendant component is manufactured from precision-spun steel or aluminium and features two interlocking, perfectly balanced semicircular spheres that encapsulate the bulb to emit a soft, entirely glare-free downward ambient glow. The entire arrangement is anchored by a heavy-duty, laser-cut white circular steel canopy plate and suspended by high-quality textile fabric cords matching the colorway of the shades. Designed to make a dramatic architectural statement in high-ceiling entranceways, wide stairwells, and expansive dining rooms, the system is available in two distinct cluster formations: a 10-piece configuration weighing 6.4 kg with a 77 cm diameter canopy, and a monumental 31-piece installation weighing 14 kg with a 126 cm canopy. Compatible with global 100-240V networks, each tier of the chandelier utilizes standard E27 light sources (maximum 40W per pendant) and supports phase dimming functionality across a vibrant, historical palette of finishes—including Matt Black, Signal Green, Cobalt Blue, Mustard, and polished Brass or Chrome plating.
