Danish design studio PEDERJESSEN—founded in 2015 by Søren Pedersen and Lasse Jessen—is recognized for combining industrial design engineering with natural tactile materials. Based in Denmark, the duo takes a holistic, research-driven approach to product development, balancing technical rigor with organic warmth. The studio achieved international recognition through a celebrated collaboration with sustainable brand Mater. Their defining creation is the Ray lighting collection—comprising pendants, table, wall, and floor lamps. The design juxtaposes a curved metal shell with an FSC-certified oak core, held together by visible magnetic fastenings that allow users to direct light playfully.
