Oliver Schick
German industrial designer Oliver Schick (b. 1969) is celebrated for an understated approach that infuses clean, minimalist silhouettes with characterful warmth and quiet narrative. Studying product design at the HBK Saar in Saarbrücken, Schick worked as a freelance designer before establishing his Frankfurt studio in 2005. Schick achieved international recognition through collaborations with leading European design houses. For Danish brand Gubi, he designed the iconic Ronde Pendant—an aluminum ceiling lamp inspired by classic pottery, featuring a distinctive turned-out collar that casts subtle upward ambient illumination. His portfolio also includes the stackable Vala shelving system for Bolia, tactile seating collections for Ligne Roset, and functional tables for Skandiform.
