Lise Vilslev
Danish designer Lise Vilslev is celebrated for an elemental, space-conscious approach that reinterprets everyday domestic storage through light, airborne geometries and honest woodcraft. Collaborating closely with co-designer Mathilde Møberg, Vilslev focuses on how functional accessories can reduce visual clutter in compact modern interiors. Vilslev achieved prominent international design recognition with the innovative Copenhanger wardrobe, manufactured and distributed by Danish sustainable brand We Do Wood. Bypassing heavy floor stands and intrusive wall drillings, the design suspends a solid turned-wood central pole with staggered angled pegs directly from the ceiling via a natural saddle-leather strap. Using FSC-certified oak and local Danish craftsmanship, it provides dynamic coat storage that appears to float effortlessly.
