Norwegian industrial designer Lars Tornøe is celebrated for an understated Scandinavian aesthetic that pairs clean sculptural forms with playful everyday utility. Graduating from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design in 2006, Tornøe co-founded the design collective Tveit & Tornøe before establishing his independent studio in Stavanger. Tornøe achieved immediate global acclaim with The Dots coat hooks for Danish brand Muuto—a whimsical, circular wooden wall peg system that revolutionized decorative domestic organization. Beyond wall storage, his portfolio includes the sculpted Kizu table lamp for New Works, which balances an ethereal acrylic bowl on a hefty marble base, as well as ergonomic seating collections for Fora Form and Magnat.
