Valencia-based design studio Kutarq—founded in 2012 by Spanish architect and industrial designer Jordi López Aguiló—is recognized for an experimental, process-driven practice that bridges architectural spatial awareness with playful domestic interaction. Graduating as an architect, Aguiló worked in Barcelona and Paris before shifting toward industrial product design. Kutarq achieved global recognition through acclaimed collaborations with progressive European design houses. For Danish brand WOUD, he designed the popular Pump and Kup lamps, alongside the interactive Moontable. For Inno and Olea, he created minimalist contract seating and acoustic systems. His work frequently incorporates folded sheet metals, visible pivot joints, and clever optical diffusers that invite physical handling and light manipulation.
