GamFratesi

Founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi, GamFratesi embodies a seamless union of Scandinavian craft and Italian conceptual rigor. Drawing from classic Danish functionalism and refined Italian intellectualism, the duo creates objects that balance contrasting elements—tradition and innovation, lightness and gravity, poetry and precision. Their distinctive design language often borrows from the natural world, deconstructing organic motifs into refined, tactile silhouettes. This approach yielded international icons like the sculptural Beetle Chair for GUBI, the fluid Silhouette sofa for HAY, and expressive lighting for Louis Poulsen, alongside collaborations with Porro and Poltrona Frau. GamFratesi’s creations tell subtle stories while honoring structural integrity, bridging two rich design traditions to deliver quietly charismatic masterworks for modern living.
