French architect Dominique Perrault and design partner Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost are internationally celebrated for translating monumental architectural vision into refined industrial objects. Perrault, architect of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, collaborated with Lauriot-Prévost to establish a poetic design language defined by metallic meshes, raw industrial materials, and sculptural precision. Their defining lighting triumph is the IN THE TUBE collection for French editor DCWéditions. Conceived as a radical reinterpretation of industrial luminaires, the series encases borosilicate glass tubes with internal stainless steel and brass-plated woven mesh reflectors, diffusing a warm, directional glow across indoor and outdoor spaces. The duo has also created monumental chandeliers, lighting systems, and custom furniture for global civic and cultural institutions.
