Paolo Lucidi & Luca Pevere
Italian industrial designers Paolo Lucidi (b. 1977) and Luca Pevere (b. 1977)—founders of Udine-based studio LucidiPevere—are celebrated for an experimental, hands-on practice that explores unfamiliar industrial processes and raw materials. Both graduating in industrial design from the Politecnico di Milano, they honed their craft alongside masters like Piero Lissoni and Marc Sadler before uniting in 2006. The duo achieved worldwide design acclaim through their landmark collaboration with lighting house Foscarini. Their crowning triumph is the Aplomb pendant lamp (2010)—an iconic luminaire crafted from a specially formulated, lightweight poured concrete that casts direct, focused illumination. They also designed the blown-glass Chouchin lamp series for Foscarini, alongside ergonomic contract seating for Kristalia, Arper, Ligne Roset, and Gebrüder Thonet Vienna.
