Kasper Eistrup
Danish visual artist, musician, and designer Kasper Eistrup (b. 1973) is celebrated for translating a meticulous draftsman’s discipline into elegant, functional furniture. Widely recognized as a painter and frontman of rock band Kashmir, Eistrup approaches industrial design with a focus on geometric balance and structural necessity. Eistrup achieved design acclaim through his partnership with heritage maker Sibast Furniture. His defining work is the XLIBRIS collection—a series of wall-mounted shelves and fold-out secretary desks engineered from solid oak with concealed brass fittings. Inspired by Japanese joinery and origami, the pieces mount flush with no visible brackets, appearing to float effortlessly while maximizing compact urban floor plans.
