Anna & Ditlev Sibast
Danish design duo Anna and Ditlev Sibast revitalized one of Denmark’s defining mid-century cabinetmaking legacies for the contemporary era. In 2012, Ditlev—fourth-generation heir to the family workshop established in 1908—alongside his wife Anna, relaunched Sibast Furniture to bridge historic joinery traditions with modern living. Serving as custodians and designers, they faithfully reissued Helge Sibast’s mid-century masterpieces, such as the sculpted Sibast No 8 and No 7 dining chairs, while authoring original extensions to the archive. Their designs include the Sibast No 7 Lounge Chair, Bar Stool, and Dining Table, adapting Helge’s pressed-veneer backrest into versatile typologies made from solid, FSC-certified oak and beech.
