Founded in Copenhagen in 2016 by Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer, Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen is acclaimed for a design approach that celebrates mechanical joinery, industrial hardware, and material authenticity. Both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the duo avoids decorative excess, choosing instead to let structural connections and raw materials dictate an object’s final aesthetic. The studio achieved global recognition through its prolific partnership with Audo Copenhagen (formerly MENU). They conceived the defining Passage solid-oak table and stool collection, the sculptural Torso lamp series pairing glazed ceramic bases with tactile linen shades, and the minimalist Column portable LED lamp. They have also developed celebrated seating and lighting collections for FDB Møbler, Please Wait to be Seated, and Skagerak by Fritz Hansen.
