Christine Schwarzer

Copenhagen-born designer Christine Schwarzer is known for her spirited, graphic sensibility that brings joy and approachable elegance to contemporary Scandinavian furniture. Educated at Danmarks Designskole and the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, Schwarzer approaches industrial design through the lens of modern art, clean lines, and tactile playfulness. Her career is defined by an enduring partnership with Swedish heritage brand Swedese. In 2004, she designed the iconic Flower Table, a signature silhouette featuring an organic, petal-shaped top finished with molded veneer edges and slender steel legs. Designed in multiple heights and dimensions to nest together or stand alone, it became an instant modern classic. Schwarzer also co-founded the award-winning brand RoomMate, extending her playful philosophy into imaginative children's furniture.
