Stockholm-based design duo Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle are recognized for an architectural design practice that balances structural discipline with subtle emotional resonance. Meeting while studying interior architecture and industrial design at Konstfack in Stockholm, the pair founded their studio in 2005. The studio has authored defining contemporary icons for leading Scandinavian manufacturers. For Asplund, they designed the acclaimed Tati collection, featuring graphic lacquered metal frames paired with carrara marble and solid oak. For Pholc, they developed the architectural Apollo and Gåva pendant lamps, alongside the iconic Leaf lamp for Muuto and high-end outdoor furniture for Röshults. Their work explores physical balance, slender linear silhouettes, and tactile surface finishes.
