Founded in Aarhus in 2014 by childhood friends René Hansen and Nicki van Roon, Danish studio Roon & Rahn emerged from a shared ambition to handcraft thoughtful furniture tailored to modern domestic life. Starting in their own basement workshop, the pair built their reputation on honest joinery, sustainable European hardwoods, and ingenious spatial solutions. Their design philosophy revolves around multifunctional simplicity and modular adaptability. Roon & Rahn create adaptable pieces designed to maximize practical living, best exemplified by their iconic Moodboard coat rack system, the magnetic Postcard frame series, and the compact A Step stool. Every piece highlights exposed wood grain, clean lines, and thoughtful magnetic or peg based connections that make organizing natural and aesthetic.
