Karolin Larsson

Swedish ceramic artist and designer Karolin Larsson is celebrated for bringing raw textural contrast, bold monochrome graphics, and sculptural presence to functional studio ceramics. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm and HDK-Valand in Gothenburg, Larsson operates her independent ceramic studio with a focus on intuitive hand-building techniques. Larsson gained international acclaim through partnerships with Swedish design houses, notably creating bespoke tabletop and decorative collections for Design House Stockholm. Her work is defined by hand-thrown stoneware finished with raw, unglazed terracotta exteriors and striking glossy black or white slip glazes. Characterized by playful handles, fluted edges, and organic asymmetries, her pieces elevate everyday coffee and dining rituals into sensory experiences.
