Benjamin Hubert

British industrial designer Benjamin Hubert is internationally acclaimed for a research-led approach uniting material economy, engineering rigor, and functional clarity. A graduate of Loughborough University, Hubert founded his London studio, which evolved into the strategic agency LAYER, creating human-centered furniture, tech, and sustainable systems. Hubert has delivered defining pieces for leading European houses. For Muuto, he conceived the cocoon-like Strand Pendant lamp and the Fluid pendant. For Fritz Hansen, he engineered the stackable Pair Chair, fusing 3D-moulded veneer with industrial efficiency. His portfolio also spans the recycled-PET Pod Chair for De Vorm, sculptural seating for Moroso, and the acclaimed Beosound Balance for Bang & Olufsen.
