Asger Soelberg

Danish designer and product strategist Asger Soelberg (b. 1978) is acclaimed for a tactile, curiosity-led approach to solid wood furniture. As a self-taught designer, Soelberg developed his design language unconstrained by rigid dogma, focusing on ergonomic comfort, honest joinery, and archetypes built to endure for generations. Soelberg is celebrated for his extensive collaborations with Ro Collection and True North Designs. His defining design is the Salon Chair and Table series—noted for subtle transitions between round turned legs and sculpted rectangular planes—alongside the Hybrid Chair and the outdoor Regatta collection. He has also partnered with brands like Bent Hansen (creating the Asger Chair) and Sibast Furniture, translating timber into expressive forms.
