Dennis Marquart

Danish designer Dennis Marquart is celebrated for an uncompromising focus on raw, high-caliber materials and timeless structural simplicity. Beginning his career as a trained blacksmith before studying furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts—with formative study periods in Japan and China—Marquart unites metalworking precision with a restrained, minimalist aesthetic. In 2003, he co-founded the acclaimed Danish design brand OX Denmarq, serving as its principal creative force. His work is defined by the expressive pairing of honest elements: vegetable-tanned leather, honed Spanish and Italian marble, solid brass, and powder-coated steel. Marquart gained international prominence through iconic pieces like the Rama Chair, the sling-back Trifolium Chair, and the versatile O Table and Mini O Table collections.
