{"title":"Ib Kofod-Larsen","description":"Danish architect and furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921–2003) was a preeminent master of Denmark's mid-century golden age. Graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1948, where he won the prestigious Holger Christensen gold medal, Kofod-Larsen quickly gained international renown for his fluid wooden contours and expressive leather upholstery.\n\nKofod-Larsen is globally revered for the Knitting Chair (1951), engineered with distinctive triangular elbow cutouts, and the sculptural Elizabeth Chair (Model IL-01, 1956), famously acquired by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Produced today by Audo Copenhagen, his masterworks were originally crafted by master cabinetmakers Christensen \u0026amp; Larsen and British maker G-Plan.","products":[{"product_id":"knitting-chair-dark-stained-oak-armchairs-ib-kofod-larsen-brown-mdf-leather-wood-foam","title":"Knitting","description":"Relax in comfort and distinction in a true example of a Scandinavian design classic with the Audo Copenhagen Knitting Chair, designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen.","brand":"Audo Copenhagen","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":49801979298113,"sku":null,"price":22083.5,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/763cf6d5-6295-433e-a2b8-f6e164086789.webp?v=1793423625"},{"product_id":"the-penguin-dining-chair-walnut-dakar-0842","title":"The Penguin Dining Chair","description":"Light, elegant, sculptural and artistic, the Penguin Dining Chair is a rare Danish Modern icon designed by Danish furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen in 1953. When it was launched in the United States, the chair was also called the Ib Kofod-Larsen Chair – and has therefore become Kofod-Larsen’s signature. The proportions with the slightly oversize seat and back, the large organically shaped shell in contrast to the petite, slender frame have a naivety about them. But at the same time, The Penguin Dining Chair is a sophisticated, bold chair with plenty of personality – an all-round chair, but anything but ordinary. Its penguin-shaped flippers on the back of the chair are typical of Ib Kofod-Larsen’s simple and honest aesthetics. The back moulds its way into the body to ensure comfort and support as well as a unique sitting experience. The Penguin Dining Chair is perfect for both the home and public spaces.","brand":"Audo Copenhagen","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":49838257439041,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/6aedb551-1911-4b88-8f0b-b4591eeafd48.webp?v=1793219430"}],"url":"https:\/\/reevela.com\/en-us\/collections\/ib-kofod-larsen.oembed","provider":"Reevela","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
