{"title":"Marcel Breuer","description":"Hungarian-born modernist architect and master designer Marcel Breuer (1902–1981) was a monumental titan of the 20th century whose work redefined industrial design. A pioneering student and later head of the carpentry workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Walter Gropius, Breuer revolutionized modern furniture by introducing tubular steel inspired by bicycle handlebars.\n\nBreuer achieved design immortality with the iconic Wassily Chair (Model B3, 1925)—a deconstructed club chair framed in cold-bent chrome-plated tubular steel and taut leather slings, produced today by Knoll. In 1928, he created the ubiquitous Cesca Chair (B32\/B64), pairing a cantilevered steel-pipe frame with traditional woven cane. His revolutionary designs transformed heavy domestic seating into transparent, floating spatial architecture.","products":[{"product_id":"wassily-lounge-chair-black-cowhide-stainless-steel","title":"Wassily Lounge Chair","description":"The Wassily Lounge Chair by Knoll is a revolutionary Bauhaus masterpiece designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 that strikes a flawless balance between industrial innovation and timeless, minimalist elegance. Originally known as the Model B3, this iconic chair derives its distinct identity from the structural form of a traditional club chair, stripped down to its bare geometric essentials and reimagined using tubular steel inspired by bicycle handlebars. It is crafted around a seamless, mirror-polished chrome steel frame that bends continuously to create a sculptural skeleton, functioning as an avant-garde artistic anchor that feels visually light and completely open. The suspended, floating seat and angled backrest are formed from tensioned, heavy-grade Spinneybeck leather or iron-cloth belting strips, expertly positioned to cradle the body using the user's weight to provide ergonomic, hammock-like lounge comfort. Measuring 79 cm wide, 69 cm deep, and 73 cm high with a relaxed 42 cm seat height, this officially licensed, stamped collectible features a durable, non-directional welded frame with clear glides to protect floors","brand":"Knoll","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":51738678198593,"sku":null,"price":18656.87,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/36495b1a-cd5c-4f3a-800f-2bf95076a294.webp?v=1793422477"}],"url":"https:\/\/reevela.com\/en-se\/collections\/marcel-breuer.oembed","provider":"Reevela","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
