Jørgen Wolff
Danish cabinetmaker and architect Jørgen Wolff was an accomplished, pioneering figure operating at the dawn of the Danish Modern movement. Working within Copenhagen's artisan cabinetmaking circles during the 1930s and 1940s, Wolff explored the harmonious intersection of handcrafted solid hardwoods and generous, upholstered lounge comfort.

Wolff achieved lasting international acclaim with the iconic Wulff Lounge Chair (ATD2, 1938), reissued today by Danish design brand &Tradition. Defined by its wingback silhouette, deep curved seat, and hand-carved, flared wooden armrests and legs crafted in solid oak or walnut, the design bridges classic craftsmanship with early organic modernism. Its expressive proportions offer a quiet masterclass in tactile comfort.
&Tradition's Wulff ATD3 pouf is designed to keep company to the Wulff ATD2 lounge chair, but the sympathetic, soft-lined seat is an effortless match to other armchairs and sofas as well – and it is quite perfect as such, as a small stool. Finished with sleek wooden legs and high-quality sheepskin upholstery, the ATD3 ottoman is an eye-catching addition to the decor, ideal for various spaces from the living room to the hallway.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/4150/0993/files/cd364e44-3c45-4ac3-8670-fb79c1fe40fd.webp?v=1793331509
wulff-atd2-lounge-chair
Wulff ATD2 Lounge Chair
First produced in a traditional Danish workshop in the first half of the 20th century by Cabinetmaker Jørgen Wolff, the Wulff lounge chair is a striking example of the ‘Danish Modern’ design movement. The intricacies of hand-made, small-scale production are readily apparent in its form: the boundary-pushing sculptural armrests, which join to an expansive, wing-shaped backrest, are underpinned by the finest craftsmanship. Reissued by &Tradition for modern audiences, the chair's timeless architectural shape adds a stylish statement to any interior.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/4150/0993/files/001aab45-73c7-4d40-b8d7-24e4099fcece.webp?v=1793328771
