{"title":"Rune Krøjgaard and Knut Bendik Humlevik","description":"Danish designer Rune Krøjgaard and Norwegian interior architect Knut Bendik Humlevik are celebrated for their grounded approach to Scandinavian modernism, uniting architectural clarity with tactile, honest materials. Meeting during their architecture and design studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, the duo established an enduring creative partnership anchored in structural simplicity and functional comfort.\n\nTogether, they played a formative role in shaping the design identity of Danish brand NORR11, where Humlevik also took on the role of creative director. Their standout designs include the iconic Mammoth Chair—a sculptural wingback lounge chair with an enveloping fluted shell—and the companion Elephant Chair, which references mid-century Danish classics while softening them with inviting curves. Their portfolio spans the ribbed Line lighting collection and the geometric NY11 dining series.","products":[{"product_id":"mammoth-lounge-chair-dark-smoked-oak-dunes-anthracite-21003","title":"Mammoth Lounge Chair","description":"Mammoth is a collection of armchairs designed by Knut Bendik Humlevik \u0026amp; Rune Krøjgaard for Norr11. Built from solid oak with a curved, laminated oak veneer seat, it highlights the natural grain and texture of the wood without relying on unnecessary decorative details. It is a straightforward piece designed for daily use, offering a sturdy, grounded presence at a kitchen island or a tall dining counter.\n\nThe seat features a subtle dip to follow the body, making it comfortable enough for a quick morning coffee or a longer dinner, even in the bare wood version. For added utility, a solid steel footrest is integrated directly into the wooden frame. This gives you a natural place to rest your feet while protecting the oak legs from scuffs, shoe marks, and heavy wear. If you prefer extra padding, the seat is also available tightly upholstered in tough, semi-aniline leather that will naturally soften and darken over time.\n\nBecause kitchen and dining setups vary, NORR11 produces the NY11 in two distinct heights: a 65-centimeter counter stool designed for standard residential kitchen islands, and a taller 75-centimeter version built for elevated bar tops. Its relatively narrow footprint means you can easily line up several stools side-by-side without cluttering the floor plan. It is a quiet, hardworking seating solution that prioritizes long-term durability and visible woodworking.","brand":"Norr11","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":49802555556161,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/322f5a8b-e4f6-43e6-ad48-40f7ad416fe4.webp?v=1793137947"},{"product_id":"ny11-chair-natural-oak","title":"Ny11 Chair","description":"The NY11 Chair from NORR11 is a stunning blend of modern simplicity and classic craftsmanship.
