{"product_id":"leya-armchair-low","title":"Leya Armchair Low","description":"The Leya Armchair Low from Freifrau takes a strictly dual-purpose, material-driven approach to lounge seating. Designed by the German studio Hoffmann Kahleyss Design, it entirely bypasses the uniform, block-like volumes of traditional upholstered chairs in favor of a highly contrasting structural profile. Built on a rigid foundation of powder-coated steel—available as a slender wire sled base or a centralized pedestal—the metal framework keeps the main body physically lifted off the floor, ensuring the surrounding space remains visually open and uncluttered.\n\nIts defining practical feature is the strict separation between its external structure and internal ergonomics. The outer shell is tightly tailored and highly rigid, functioning mechanically to provide unyielding support and a clean, architectural silhouette. In direct contrast, the interior seating area is deeply padded, built to physically contour to the user like a loose, unstructured cushion. This specific dual-construction allows the chair to deliver the immediate, relaxed comfort of an oversized lounge piece without expanding its physical footprint or appearing disorganized in a highly curated room.\n\nMeasuring roughly 70 centimeters wide and 72 centimeters deep, the 'Low' variant strictly limits its vertical mass by cropping the backrest, allowing it to easily anchor a conversation area without blocking sightlines across a living space. Engineered to accommodate contrasting materials, the rigid outer shell is frequently wrapped in thick, heavy-gauge aniline leather built to absorb natural oils and develop a heavy patina over years of use, while the inner cushion relies on highly tactile, heavy-duty textiles. Stripped of unnecessary decorative skirting, it is a hardworking fixture that relies on strict material juxtaposition to maximize everyday utility.","brand":"Freifrau","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":68111266840897,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/a68d61bf-ea89-4a07-b409-d4e9aace656e.webp?v=1793482218","url":"https:\/\/reevela.com\/en-gb\/products\/leya-armchair-low","provider":"Reevela","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
