{"title":"Pierre Charpin","description":"Trained as a visual artist, French designer Pierre Charpin approaches objects with an intuitive eye for color, silhouette, and proportion. Rather than treating design as mere problem solving, Charpin views it as an extension of drawing, applying subtle distortions to elementary geometric shapes to make them feel warm, tactile, and expressive. \n\nHis signature skill lies in concealing complex technology within friendly, approachable forms. For Danish brand HAY, he created the iconic PC Lamp collection, spanning sleek task lamps, pendants, and portable luminaires celebrated for their tulip like polycarbonate diffusers and cheerful color combinations. His broad body of work also includes sculptural metalware for Alessi, graphic glassware for Hermès, and bespoke gallery pieces. \n\nCharpin marries artistic purity with industrial utility, crafting gentle modern classics that enrich daily life.","products":[{"product_id":"pc-pendant-lamp-large-soft-black","title":"PC Pendant Lamp - Large","description":"The PC Pendant from HAY is designed by Pierre Charpin.
