{"title":"Komplot Design","description":"Established in Copenhagen in 1987 by Danish architect Poul Christiansen and industrial designer Boris Berlin, Komplot Design stands as one of Scandinavia’s most innovative partnerships. The studio rejected predictable styling, treating industrial manufacturing methods not as constraints, but as springboards for fresh, expressive silhouettes.\n\nTheir landmark breakthrough arrived with the GUBI 3D Chair, the first furniture piece ever conceived using pioneering 3D veneer-moulding technology. This breakthrough allowed genuine wood to curve into a double-contoured shell, giving the seat extraordinary ergonomic flexibility and structural lightness. Later, with the Nobody Chair for HAY, they pushed ecological engineering by molding an entire chair from a single sheet of recycled felt without screws or frames.\n\nKomplot Design redefined Scandinavian modernism, fusing technical precision with human warmth and sculptural integrity.","products":[{"product_id":"3d-counter-stool-center-base-65-cm-black-semi-matt-hirek-plastic-moulded-seat-black-metal-legs","title":"3D Counter Stool Center Base 65 cm","description":"The 3D Counter Stool, designed by Komplot Design, was the first furniture design to be based on the innovative technique of moulding three-dimensional veneer. Conceived by the Danish studio Komplot Design, it pushed the boundaries of cutting-age veneer-molding technology. The GUBI 3D Chair Collection includes an upgraded veneer edition and a new recycled-plastic version, both available in dining chair, lounge chair, and counter and bar stool variations. The veneer options are crafted from FSC® Mix-certified oak or American walnut and wood from other controlled sources (FSC® C176589) with a range of upholstery fabrics. Also suited to outdoor use, the more casual recycled plastic edition can be supplied in three colors – Black, Lunar Gray, and Alabaster White.
