{"title":"Øivind Slaatto","description":"Danish industrial designer Øivind Slaatto (b. 1978) is celebrated for bringing mathematical principles of nature, poetic light refraction, and musical harmony to contemporary lighting and acoustic products. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish National Academy of Music, Slaatto approaches design with a musician’s sense of rhythm and structural resonance.\n\nSlaatto achieved international design fame through his defining collaboration with Danish lighting master Louis Poulsen. In 2015, he conceived the iconic Patera Pendant—a luminous sphere based on the mathematical Fibonacci sequence, composed of hand-woven, diamond-shaped cells that provide soft, 360-degree glare-free illumination. For Bang \u0026amp; Olufsen, he designed the circular Beoplay A9 wireless speaker, alongside acoustic wall tiles for Abstracta.","products":[{"product_id":"patera-pendant-lamp-white","title":"Patera Pendant Lamp - Ø60 cm","description":"The Patera Pendant Lamp is a modern reinterpretation of the classic chandelier, designed by Øivind Slaatto for Louis Poulsen in 2015. Inspired by the natural mathematical beauty of the Fibonacci sequence, the lamp is composed of a complex, hand-assembled structure of small diamond-shaped cells that spiral around a central light source. Each cell is precisely angled to capture and reflect light, ensuring a 100% glare-free experience when viewed from above 45 degrees, while also providing direct downward illumination and a soft upward glow to light the ceiling. Crafted from cut matte PVC foil or PET prism foil (for the silver version), the Patera creates a captivating interplay of light and shadow that transforms even when the lamp is switched off. The collection is available in four spherical diameters—Ø300 mm, Ø450 mm, Ø600 mm, and Ø900 mm—along with an ellipsoidal Patera Oval version introduced in 2021 for spaces with lower ceiling heights.","brand":"Louis Poulsen","offers":[{"title":"Default","offer_id":51718390579521,"sku":null,"price":9201.6,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0832\/4150\/0993\/files\/db2d834c-7cfd-4cb6-a34c-f496d2d7d922.webp?v=1793337141"}],"url":"https:\/\/reevela.com\/en-fi\/collections\/oivind-slaatto.oembed","provider":"Reevela","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
