Coming from traditional cabinetry and architectural roots, the duo transformed Scandinavian craft into democratic, mass-producible designs defined by lightness and precise proportions.

They are celebrated for pioneering flat-pack, factory-engineered furniture without sacrificing handcrafted soul. In 1950, their iconic AX Chair for Fritz Hansen became Denmark's first laminated, bentwood chair built for knock-down export. Today reissued by &Tradition, their sculptural Boomerang Lounge Chair, the woven X Lounge Chair, and the drawn-steel Tripod Lamp display their signature balance of dynamic curves, brass accents, and natural materials.

Hvidt & Mølgaard married cabinetmaker finesse with industrial logic, creating timeless modern classics.
Introducing the HM4 Drawn Chair by Hvidt & Mølgaard - a piece of Danish design that seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality.
