{"title":"Folke Pålsson","description":"Danish furniture designer Folke Pålsson (1913–1993) was an influential contributor to the post-war democratization of Scandinavian design. Working within the progressive cooperative movement of mid-century Denmark, Pålsson believed high-quality, solid-timber furniture should be accessible to all working households rather than reserved for affluent elites.\n\nPålsson achieved global acclaim with the ubiquitous J52B Dining Chair (1952), designed for the cooperative furniture studio FDB Møbler (then led by Børge Mogensen). Crafted from solid beech with a curved, steam-bent backrest, slender turned spindles, and an integrated armrest, the design balanced shaker simplicity with ergonomic durability. Famously adopted by American President John F. Kennedy, the chair remains a continuous bestseller reissued by FDB Møbler.","products":[{"product_id":"fdb-j77-dining-chair-from-hay-black","title":"J77 Dining Chair","description":"The FDB J77 dining chair from Hay is a perfect blend of timeless design and modern functionality.
